Privacy Policy
Effective Date: February 1, 2026
Introduction
We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle data. By using Double Jump, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information We DO NOT Collect
We do not collect, store, or process:
- Phone number
- Physical address
- Payment information (handled entirely by Google Play)
- Account credentials or passwords
Information Collected via Google Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive and store:
- Display name
- Email address
- Google account identifier (UID)
This information is used solely for authentication, cloud backup, and cross-device sync. We do not access any other Google account data.
Information We Automatically Collect
We collect limited technical and usage data to improve app performance and user experience:
Google Analytics & Firebase
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how users interact with our app. This may include:
- Device information (model, operating system version, unique device identifiers)
- App usage data (screens visited, features used, session duration)
- Approximate location (country/region level, derived from IP address)
- Crash reports and performance data (via Firebase Crashlytics)
Important: This data is anonymized and aggregated. We cannot identify individual users from this information.
Feedback Submissions
When you submit feedback through the app, we may include your Firebase user identifier (UID) along with device and app version information. This is used solely for troubleshooting purposes — to help us identify and resolve issues specific to your account or device. Your UID is not shared with any third parties and is only used internally for technical support.
Local Storage
We store the following data locally on your device:
- Your game collections (Release Radar and custom collections)
- App preferences (dark mode, notification settings)
- Cached game data for offline viewing
- Purchase status (ad-free membership)
If you sign in with Google, your collections and purchase status are also backed up to our cloud servers for cross-device sync.
2. Third-Party Services
Google AdMob (Advertising)
We display advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect:
- Device information and advertising identifiers
- Interaction with ads
- App usage data for personalized advertising
You can opt out of personalized ads:
- Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization
- iOS: Settings > Privacy > Advertising > Limit Ad Tracking
Google Analytics & Firebase
We use Firebase to analyze app usage and crashes. Firebase may collect:
- Analytics data (app interactions, device info)
- Crash logs and performance metrics
Cloud Firestore (Data Storage)
We use Cloud Firestore to cache game information for faster loading. If you sign in with Google, Firestore also stores your game collections and purchase status for cloud backup and cross-device sync. This data is associated with your Google account identifier.
IGDB (Internet Game Database)
We fetch game information from IGDB API. We do not send any user data to IGDB. We only request publicly available game data (titles, release dates, images, etc.).
3. How We Use Information
We use the collected information solely for:
- App functionality: Providing game data, collections, and notifications
- Performance improvement: Identifying and fixing crashes and bugs
- Analytics: Understanding user behavior to improve features
- Advertising: Displaying relevant ads to support free app development
- Troubleshooting: Using your Firebase UID from feedback submissions to diagnose and resolve account-specific or device-specific issues
We do NOT:
- Sell your data to third parties
- Use your data for marketing purposes
- Share your data with other companies (except third-party service providers mentioned above)
4. Data Retention
- Analytics & Crash Data: Automatically deleted by Google Firebase according to their retention policies (typically 2-14 months)
- Local Data: Stored on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data
- Advertising Data: Managed by Google AdMob according to their policies
